So much fun, Ben makes learning a new skill super approachable, not just with making the bag itself but also a bunch of transferrable skills like learning how to set up your machine, pattern reading, and using different stitch types.

100% recommend, plus being able to keep perfectly good gear out of landfill, listening to great tunes, and meeting new people is a an excellent way to spend a couple evenings.

The bag is insanely comfortable, it fits all my favourite things. The pattern was really simple and easy to follow and with a bit of customisation it really feels like it was my own baby.
I use it for both work and just going about my day to day, fits for me my laptop, about 3 sketchbooks, pencil cases and headphones, and can fit a litre waterbottle in either the front pockets or just tucked under the flap and buckled in.
I particularly love that it can be worn while cycling or walking longer distances without getting uncomfortable or weighted too much to one side!

I was very inexperienced with sewing, but am absolutely stoked with the quality and the durability of the end product. The teaching style and learning environment catered to individuals of varying experience levels. This was a great opportunity to sharpen up some textile skills and end up with a high utility bag. With a little patience, I'm sure absolute beginners in this course will achieve the same outcome.
